how u learn so quick? tell me now!

Did you play a musical instrument when you were a kid? I think it's helped me a lot, cos stuff like phrase matching and just listening to beats is something I've already done a lot of...

Buy yourself two copies of the same record and mix them together, that way you don't have to worry about beatmatching them, you can just pick up the idea of cueing and correcting...

Dunno what else to tell ya

Well that is one way, but you can always just practise how mixing is supposed to be done with MP3 programs, im talking about the 4/4 structure and so on and you'll learn fast. I learn how to mix perfectly in less than 3 days after getting my decks, all due to 2 months practise on MP3 programs with just understanding the whole process.

sorry man, dont mean to flame but i think thats rubbish. beatmatching in the ball park area you can pick up very easily. i made a mix within 2-3 weeks of getting my decks, but its the fine tuning of the beats which takes time. 5 months down the track n i still have yet to have it down pat, so i doubt if anybody can accomplish it within 3 days.... unless, well, i suck.

Yes and no .. I beatmix and cue in the headphones (obviously), and usually cue the track at the start of the 4th bar. So when I start the transition, I've got 4 bars (16 beats) to perfect the beats, then I start to move the crossfade.

I leave the headphones in stereo mode so that I can hear the 50/50 mix through the headphones, but once I start moving the crossfader I'll take one ear out of the headphones and listen to the transition proper.

And Psygnosis, I've used Mixmeister and Traktor for a couple of years now, so I completely understand the actual process
