I'm so lacking in muscle (and fitness in general), especially relative to people posting in this thread.

I need to start working out, once I get surgery done on my damn knee, and go through all the stupid physio. Stupid knee's been holding be back from things as simple as morning jogs.

No gym for me, just some training at home.
Weights and situps will do for the moment.
Maybe some jogging, biking.

Best is to do sets of 3 right? And how long must the intervals be between em?
Any other exercices esy to do at home?

tia

minimum sets of three. all total your gym visit should encompass somewhere between 10 and 15 sets per muscle. Im a fan of 1 warm up set and 4 or 5 actual sets.

Wow, cheers for that Orbax and Ygreen! I don't eat junk food, just wanted to say that. I'm more the skinny type..

I'll read that tomorrow when I'm not too tired to see the text as a blur, heh..

I also read that sore muscles is just your bodys way to tell you it expects more workout, not rest...

Thanks again!

(I really gonna do this, finally!)

When I was in college a buddy and I would do a jacked up leg routine once every 6 - 7 weeks or so, just for pure shock value. It rocked in it's overall simplicity and reeked in its overall brutality.

Squats: 12 sets x 12 reps x 275 lbs.

Man what a beatdown that was!

the way to cure soreness is to work it out lightly. Dont just wait for it to be gone, youll just be totally inefective. after a week or so, the muscles wont get sore any more

Orbax makes an excellent point Cloudburst. It's called 'active recovery'. Lightly forcing blood into your sore muscles will increase the rate at which you recover. This also makes an excellent point for including cardio into your routine, even though you said you are relatively thin. The cardio on your off days will help your muscles recoverey faster than if no cardio.

My #2 exercise for lower abs is hanging leg raises, being very careful to limit any type of swinging. I like where my abs are at right now so I just do 2 sets of 15 every other day to maintain. Adding a set or two on top of that shouldnt do any harm. Even daily if you are comfortable and a quick-recover type.

My #1 exercise is LOTS OF SEX! Muhahahahaha! Sorry. (but it does wonders!)

Ditto. My upper/mid/obliques are fine, but my lower abs I have difficulty with.

i'm gonna buy myself a new pair of kicks and some work out clothes yea, that'll motivate me. it's a damn good excuse to shop!

hehehe so that's my problem...damn girlfriend getting prude on me hahahaha.

i usually do some kinda variation of that hanging leg raise and also one where i lay on a bench and do the same motion with my legs suspended in the air. i don't know, maybe i just need to be stricter with diet hehehe..
