I kinda agree.. Traktor is very much automated, you don't even have to do the beatmatching yourself. PCDJ Red makes you at least keep the beats matched (even if you matched BPMs it's never gonna be perfect on its own)

actually, you can tell the difference between an autobeat-match dj and a dj who tries to match the beat themselves. there's also more to mixing with traktor than just autobeat-matching too, most people just crossfade and never cue.
=)
but yeah, many "mp3 djs" just autobeat match and crossfade. that's fine. let them do whatever makes them happy.
now to try and fix my computer so i can mix this weekend and get something submitted so i can easily get owned by you other mp3 djs like I do every competitioN!
even if you don't have to beat-match using traktor, I still do anything else a "normal" dj does. I use a midi controller as a mixer and I mix with linefader and using eqs all the time.
the good thing about traktor is, that you can do whatever transition you want, because you can focus on the creative aspects and not looking at the 2 vinyls all the time to hold them at the same speed.
therefore I can say for me, that my transitions are way better than most of the vinyl djs are in the creative way.
if you don't believe me, than listen to my mixes...

The bpm counter on Traktor isn't perfect, so you won't get a good beatmatching on every transition if u use it, but in some may work just fine.
What I mean is:
Let's say I play a track that Traktor says it has 138bmp. OK, now I put on the other track. It says 139bpm, so I pitch it down to 138bmp. I just need to align beats and everything should be just fine. But it's not. After a few sec (7-15) the tracks will get out of synch, even if Traktor says 138bpm on both. That's because the counter isn't that good. So I need to pitch up or down the 2nd track so that it will be matched to the other. In many transitions when I beatmatch there is a counter error of 0.2-0.4bpm. So I'd say the beatmatching isn't as easy at in looks. If u want good beatmatching u need to do it the hard way, by ear. Although u can have a decent beatmatching using the auto method.
I must admit that I use the beat grid to bring all tracks to the accect bpms. but also this isnt 100% correct and tracks didnt hold the same bpm over full length...
and it wasn't easy to create an accurat beat grid for some hundreds or thousands of tracks...
