PvD’s first Summerstage in ’03 was a real disappointment for me. I was spoiled by having just spent a month in Europe going to festivals including Love Parade. I also had a quick brush w/ PvD at Love from Above at Columbiahalle, which still ranks as one of my top 3 parties ever. I was completely alone in Berlin, but met very cool people some of whom I still keep in touch with today. So yeah, my experience of the first Summerstage was a little biased. yeah but i can see them trying to protect their vendors' interests by ensuring people don't bring stuff in. plus pot is much easier to hide than a bottle of vodka...who knows i've never been there so we'll see on friday
