Just Be was not a joke, it was(is) probably the worst trance album that ever existed! (well i know from a hard-core view its not even "trance").
The whole album was terrible, from the Titanic-style syrupy pseudo-classical opening track, to the mainstream top-10 pop-dance hit love comes again, to the absolutely terrible I.Q--1000 hard-dance tune traffic (jumping up and down to 2 disturbing notes-fuck), to the extra-mature-cheddar-ballad walking on clouds (i vomit), to the absolute rape of Barber's Adagio for strings (poor Samuel). The only tracks that were bearable were Nyana and A Tear in the Open, but these were also nothing special. That album had nothing to do with the first magik and ISOS tiles neither with tiesto's older tracks under his own name and Allure aliases (although i suspect that other people were mainly behind those tracks).
Judging from the titles, the new album is going to be full of cheesy, mass-pleasing trashy pop-dance hits like the previous one, and the fact that BT is going to be behind some tracks doesn't make things better, since BT is known that he is quite capable for quite bad cheesy pop-EDM, and i'm almost sure that this is what he is going to demonstrate here as well(well, i don't expect him to start spawning "monster" and "this binary universe"-IDM-type tracks in a full-on cheesy chart-topper that the new album by Tiesto is planned to be by this whole PR industry behind him).
And what is this with all the collaborations, i mean these types of albums with all these "super-star" collaborations are in most of the times found in pop and rap music not bloody EDM!What the hell is going on?Am i listening to a fucking P.Diddy album (with all these super-star-gangsta collaborations) or a fucking "Trance" (this word is raped) album? Yeah but of course its a tiesto album,it must be big, lets put some famous producers and singers, throw a bunch of well-selling singles and presto, the new tiesto album!Sorry but better stick to a 90s Vengaboys album then this (trance?ofourse not POP) shit!!!At least Vengaboys never stated something like "pushed the trance music in new levels". This is what we get here by a terrible pop trashy artist like Tiesto! The hell with it! Trance is indeed dead. Lets just leave it rest in its glorious peace!

While Just Be may be the worst trance album to date, you obviously are the worst reviewer to date.

Since Tiesto is big business, you have to understand that there will be a much closer and critical perception at his new album.
The Just be album contains hits which were also released before the album release and lots of people liked songs like, traffic, addagio, ect, ect....already before the album did came out.
The new album is fresh ( although some songs appears to be 1 year old ) so everybody can judge themself to be satisfied or happy with the final result.
Be aware of the fact that the Just be album was produced in the early months of 2004, at the peak of Tiesto's stardom, produced and composed by his two producers who recently ( 2 years ago ) split up. ( incl Hunnick and Tiesto himself, BT song ) but mainly it was produced by two guys from Holland.
Proberly the new songs are produced by the one which has stayed with Tiesto, I don't believe that Tiesto did produced anything himself, ( no time ) he is more a kind of collector of good idea's, which will stand for a long period of time,...to be honest.
So, stop elimination the hype around him, if the album is okay, he will earn some real credits for his work, if the album sucks, we have to wait for an other attempt, but proberly he will lost his dignity.
Lets wait, till we have bought ( or download ) the album.
Cheers

this is easily the worst review ive ever seen. its incredibly bias and pretty much everything u wrote was subjective. if your going to act educated in music atleast open your fucking eyes and see the album for wat is really is.
it was quite a solid album for wat is was (as i said before), a commercially appealing trance album, tracks likes just be, adagio for strings, love comes again and traffic were the obvious tracks that would get mass appeal and they did, so they did their job well. no they are nothing special, especially for people who have been listening to trance for almost a decade but they do wat they are set out to do, cheesy or not.
walking on clouds and sweet misery are beautifully produced and have some great vocals in them also, imo they are the best tracks on the album.
tiesto's adagio for strings i think is also very underrated amongst his haters, i like it just as much as ferry's remix if not more. this album probably got ALOT more people into trance, whether thats a good thing or a bad thing i dunno but it did its job. it will never compare to in my memory though, not by a long shot.
