I think that's true. minimal/techno seems to be what might be the future. the thing is, the people who hated trance hopped on to it's polar opposite in minimal/techno because trance is so fashionably fun to hate these days.
not that that's a bad or a good thing, it's just my observation.

yeah, clubs in the usa are hip hop or house music. the house music they play in house clubs are more close to disco/funk and nowadays electro compared to progressive/tech/electro that seems to be popular in Europe.
