ok, I've been MIA for a little while but I just caught up on everything.
First of all, being a Jew... I'd like to say to the moron who said "shame she's marrying a jew" that you have no fucking idea what you're talking about. A wedding is like the ONE thing we BLOW money on.
And Theresa... You're so, dumb. I have no other word for it. A "one day event"? I don't know about you, but I only plan on being married once... so I'm going to go all out on my wedding. That's one day I want to remember as the BEST day of my life, for the rest of my life. I'm not a girl who went to prom, or to homecoming, or any of that crap, but a wedding is different. It's me and my man pledging to love and be faithful to each other for the rest of our lives. That's a HUGE day. That's me saying I'll be by your side when your penis is old and wrinkly and your rib cage pokes out, and I'm still looking hot. That's saying I'll spoon feed you if anything ever happens to you. That's THE big day. I want my family there, my friends there, and anyone who would like to be there to celebrate the union of me with someone else.
And yes, his name WAS printed on the invitation. And if you read the other posts of mine referring to how said "bff" has been behaving towards me lately, you'd see me not wanting to go has a lot more to it than just my bf not being invited.
Mind you - THEY are not even paying for the wedding - their parents are. SO, since the parents OFFERED to ALREADY PAY FOR all of the guests and their dinners, I don't see how chopping out 30$ makes any sense.
And yes, I accepted being MOH before I knew I was sick. And then I sat down and talked with her and explained that with the costs of my treatments, and the effect the treatments have on me, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to physically stand there that day. (Mind you - the MOH duties are to pay for the bachelorette party, pay for the dress (300$) the shoes she picked out (150$) pay to get my hair done where she asked (200$) pay to get my make up done (50$), I offered to pay for half of the flowers (which I already did, and that put me out 300$) I already gave them an engagement gift (a car, yes, an old one, but I gave it to them for free b/c the guy was w/o vehicle), I have to buy a bridal shower gift, and a wedding gift)
For those of you jackass' that think cancer's not a good excuse, I'd like you to live one day in Frenchie & I's shoes with all the medications we take and the surgeries we have. You wouldn't be able to fucking make it. And standing around and carrying things in 100 degree heat in the middle of a Florida summer, is NOT healthy for someone who is on such heavy meds.
So yea, a big fuck you to you assholes.
