Plus the guy just can't hit a shot. At all. That's nothing to do with role but focus.

As for shis game: another fine example that from Triano that he really doesn't know what he's doing. The bench went off for a 23 point lead and what does he do? Benches most of the guys for most of the rest of the game while he watched his starting line up struggle to get it going and slowly gave the game away. Rasho put up great numbers in only FOUR minutes of action and then gets bench. Weems played with more energy than anybody else on that team and gets benched. And it seems as if Derozan will really only play half a season because he seems to be getting sent home after half time. Do they intend on developing this kid or are they gonna trade him just so he can come back and punish the Raptors? Triano had until almost the end of the game to make the necessary changes to win it but again, he insisted on using his ridiculous line ups, and turn a completely blind eye to what's been working throughout the game. How oblivious is this guy?

I'm going to the Laker game in 2 weeks and I wanna make some signs regarding this stupid line ups. Any suggestions are welcome

Don't forget Calderon. He's back, and so are our losing ways. Raps had a good run going while he was injured.

To his credit he was on the floor and played a part in that 23 point lead. Afterwards though, it seems like the whole team packed it in and Triano and Turk proceeded to piss the game away for us the rest of the way. Triano because he's a dumbass; and Turk because more often than not the guy can't do anything when the ball gets in his hands. Blows me away that this guy has the nerve to complain about not getting enough touches. His decision-making and shot selection have been horrible all season long and this has nothing to do with his "role" because since early December his role has changed to being a point-forward running the show with Jack as his side kick. The guy is old, worn-out, (and grossly overpaid thanks to Boy Genius) and has absolutely no intensity. The guy hit the jackpot until retirement.

Ps. Triano's post-game is hilarious. Worst part of all this is that he's a local Canadian boy so MLSE will hold on to him forever, much longer than Colangelo (who's contract as GM is up this year)

Would it still be possible to trade Turk? Do you think there are teams out there that would lay the blame for his poor season at Triano's feet and give up something good for him?

Jose was on the floor with who during that 23 point lead build-up?

Weems? Johnson? Nesterovic?

In short, our energy and defense guys that have been carrying us since Jose was originally injured? I didn't watch the game, I'm interested in knowing who was on the floor with him.

I still like Turk alot. He may not be doing anything when he gets the ball, but he's also not really being given the change to get into his rhythm. When they went to him early in the game during that 5 game win streak he was great....he was getting guys involved, not necessarily shooting the greatest (I think he's in a pretty good slump right now)...but his assist numbers were better than what either of our point guards have been able to do this year. I think he's in the right in saying it's the schemes they're running....Triano is a horrible coach. The way he is utilizing his players is absurd. How many more losses are we going to have to take until this gets realized? It's these stupid line-ups that's doing it. That and the fact that Jose couldn't guard a box of Triscut Crackers.

All those guys you just mentioned were on the floor with Jose. That's the great thing: if you're a coach you need to realize what the strengths and weaknesses are of your players. Jose with that second unit is very effective because what he lacks is made up for by the other guys.

Triano, instead of giving those guys extra minutes and letting the starters get as much rest as possible, decided to put the starting line up back in and slowly we started losing that lead. Textbook example of bad coaching.

As for Turk: he's been shooting poorly all season, but most games (whether we win or lose) he's managed to get guys involved and rack up some impressive assist numbers. His excuses for not being involved in the game is only valid when he's on the court with Jose (unfortunately that's in the 4th quarter). With Jack on the floor, the ball usually goes to Turk and Jack takes a very effective secondary role. Unfortunately Triano is a dumbass, and puts every play maker on the floor in the final quarter where, coincidentally, our offense usually goes stagnant because nobody really knows what to do.

Seriously though, he needs to stop whining about the touches he does or doesn't get because unlike Orlando, we have a very very very efficient big man that can put up 30 on any given night in a variety of ways; unlike D12 who has a very limited offensive game. Even if Triano knew what he was doing Hedo would still be used differently because of that simple fact.

Also, is it me or is Belinelli top-heavy? Whenever the guy gets air born he starts tipping over. Is this guy capable of taking a shot or layup or dunk without flying out of control? Jeez

his shot is like LeMarcus Aldridge on Portland except he can move in any direction instead of just away from the basket to take a shot. I don't understand it either, but some player just like to be on the move during their release(?)

It's ridiculous. How consistent can you be when you're always flying around?

So you're saying you miss Sam Mitchell?

Sam Mitchell was way way better than Triano, that's for sure. Ideally though Mitchell should've been let go, not necessarily after that Denver game, and Triano should've filled the role ONLY until the end of the season.

Surprised no one has said anything about today's game. I have to say that aside from beating a top team like the Mavs, this was the one game so far this season that I saw Toronto actually playing like a top team. Even in the 1st quarter where some open shots weren't falling for Bosh, the patience with possesion and understanding between the players was superb. Calderon had a fantastic game off the bench, especially in that second quarter (that pass to Bosh was just brilliant) and Barghani just seems untouchable on offense right now. Postive vibe from this game if you're a Raptor fan.

Very impressive win.

He's ALWAYS been a fantastic bench player. Back when we had TJ Ford as our starter doing his thing, Calderon was always a great back-up to throw on the floor to give some sense of "cool and collected" attitude to the bench-players (who are, and should be, energy guys for the most part).

Calderon was great until he was given the starting job, and it was all downhill from there.

If ever there was a clear example of how a guy can perfectly fit a specific role on a team, it's Calderon. He's a GREAT back-up PG to put on the floor with the bench guys, fantastic in his attitude, and worth splitting minutes with the starter 50/50, but put him in a starting role, and you can see that his usefulness wears thin and he hurts more than he helps.

Hopefully Toronto can keep up the run they've been on since Jack took over as the starter. The last few weeks have shown a LOT of promise from these guys!
