so I'm watching the news and I see them giving out those pills and thinking to myself, how far are all these people from this next very possible Catastrophe? I mean common sense tells me just get as far away as possible damn it!
Helicopter/ planes/ ships...something to get them all out..

Watching the news conference right now... they are posting a 30 km radius (yellow zone) and 20 km radius (red zone) :/ not sure what that is about...
10km zone = must stay indoors and close windows
20-30km zone = must evacuate
Plus there is reports that firefighters are trying to put out the fire at reactor #4

When chernobyl happened the radiation went as far as sweden on one side and turkey across the black sea on the other. (that's a few thousands km's)
