that is the implication. femininity is in general relegated to frivolity. even some feminists see classical 'feminine' expressions as frivolous. whereas I think the key is to own that kind expression and challenge the notion that it is inherently frivolous.

It's worth mentioning though that when it comes to marketing, especially to women, masculinity is presented as frivolous.
