I think it has less to do with the research chemicals and more to do with the whole "where is Molly so I can roll face" culture this kids have. They think it's cool to drink/take "Molly" and act a fool. In my earlier there were never problems at edm events but now all the guidos act a fool and wanna fight

I went yesterday it was ok had a decent time besides the whole I'm too old for this feeling.

No more festivals for me unless it's ur1 or something similar where the music matters and pop culture doesn't

Kids will be kids, I'm just glad there is enough of them to support this show and chose to do so. I went Friday night and had a blast. Cosmic Gate, Loco Dice, Markus Shultz delivered but Porter Robinson destroyed the place with some next level shit and stole the show IMO.

I went Saturday and had a great time overall. It was nice to catch up with some peeps all around Florida. That was pretty much the whole reason of going was to see friends. Got in at 230 just in time to catch the end of Icey set. Morgan Page did a great job along with Tritonal and Armin. Not the best sets heard from them but oh well. Eye candy was very appealing The carnival ride next to circuit grounds tore up my rib cage on left side with big ass puffy bruise. Haven't sleep yet from last night had a friend come over after and we had a small party haha.. Gonna go lay down for a bit Lata

Electronic DUST Carnival. I was blowing out black mucus out of my nostrils both days. Only 1 entrance into the event. Took almost 2 hours to get inside the venue. Line-ups were horrible. Bunch of retarded bros "raging!". This will be the LAST festival I will attend with mainstream DJ's on the bill.

Other then the stated above there was great production (audio+visual)

I knew this event was going to be bad going in but the only reason I attended was to see Richie Hawtin + Loco Dice as they are a rarity in the CFL area. Let's just say those 2 took a giant shit on the entire EDC DJ's combined. MIND BLOWING! Great people and vibes at Neon Garden stage on friday where a majority of the crowd actually knew their music.

Yes, everything you stated is 100% spot on. The rest of the music at EDC was fucking god awful. I did not hear one remotely decent set outside of Friday's Neon Garden stage. Granted, I wasn't at the main stage very much on Friday but the few times I popped over, it was god awful. And that was when Cosmic and Markus were playing. WTF were they playing? I've heard them tons of times in the past but those EDC sets were just absolute garbage. Saturday at main stage was just atrocious -- everyone that played. Tritonal's set sounded exactly like Afrojacks except they mixed in a couple of remixed Anjunabeats tracks and of course they played their own shit to open the set. Awful. Hook N Sling - trash. Wippenberg managed to play some decent tracks but he surrounded it with electro crap garbage bullshit. Morgan Page - same thing. WTF has happened in the past 2 years to this scene? Hell, just in the last 12 months it's gotten markedly worse.

Armin's set was the "best" of them all but definitely nothing that can be considered good.

This doesn't mean I think Markus and AVB suck, I just think these festivals fucking suck if you actually want to hear good trance music.

Friday at Neon Garden was absolutely special and was such a 180 from the rest of the festival -- like a different world over there. The vibe was amazing as you stated...people knew their shit over there and it was going the fuck off!

And yes I know my post is negative and no one likes a negative nelly (lol) but when you spend a lot of money on a festival, I think it's ok to have some standards and to voice your displeasure when it fails to deliver.

EDC failed in a big way on the music front. Sure, the place was packed and the audio and visuals were pretty damn good but guess what? It's a MUSIC festival and that aspect of it sucked! But I know now what these festivals will be like...catering to the 18-21 year old crowd who do not know a damn thing about the music and are there simply to take as much bath salts as possible, wearing stupid neon clothes and "raging." I'm good.

O ya... The after party at Orlando indoor soccer "warehouse" party was fucking sick!!!

I paid 10 to get in... They played hard tech/tech house all night. Good sound good lights and it was packed with th older edm crowd (25-35). Lots of south Americans there who love the tech. Real cool party was there till like 530 and ppl were still coming in

Surprisingly I have to say that DJ ICEY was the best for me the entire weekend! Totally didn't expect that, but damn he brought fresh beats and that break-break tech feel and that was just the start of my day lol
