last time things went really well despite all the debauchery...i think we had a pretty good setup in the living room to protect all the equipment. whether you need a cddj is up to you ofcourse, but we can always take precautions...or you can bring it and leave it in the car if necessary.
basically last time we didnt have monitors, but my roomies stereo holds its own pretty well, especially for as loud as we *can* have it. we got it going pretty well without freaking the neighbors out last time. if necessary we could do a whole relocation to the basement for louderness, but thats where Chad gets sick drunk playing beer pong so i dunno.
