In Silence was easily tune of the year, and was by far the only sensible choice from the six in the final poll.

Why anyone would vote for such a bland-fest like Whiteroom is beyond me. But at least the best tune won

confession

i still like ATRC

if only for the first 2 mins of the sweeping strings mix before the vocals come in... the way the tune subtley starts to build with the little phasing sound in the background... still manages to give me shivers & brings back some nice memories

just notided that there is no vocals in the top 3 (well a bit of vocals but nothing major), compare that to the top 4 in 2003:

Motorcycle - ATRC
Andain - Beautiful Things
Scott Bond vs Solarstone - 3rd Earth
Agnelli and Nelson - Holding on to Nothing.

Waar als Roderick & Anne Fleur gingen hockeyen, Jack stoer verklaarde: “Laat er house zijn en housemuziek werd geboren”. For posterity's sake, I'd like to note that, while In Silence won the TA TOTY competition, it wasn't even close to being the best track of 2004.
