I listened up till Mon-Soon's track, BIG mix there (not only in terms of length), absolutely love it.
The first part maybe still lacks a little coherence as it tends to shift back and forth from melodic uplifting to tech-prog a little IMO (1st impression).
I'll try to review it aswell, but I'm not making any promises.
thx 4 the effort, erratik, nice 1!

right, here goes:
01. Schiller - Das Glockenspiel (ID Mix) [djgosher2023]
02. Dutch Force - Deadline (Original Mix) [djgosher2023]
really wasn't sure about this intro, the opening track could have potentially made a cracking opener but really needed something better to mix into. i can kind of see the inspiration behind using deadline since the backing string in das glockenspiel is kinda similar to it, but it was never gonna mix in smoothly, and clashes harmonically too. plus, deadline is a big peaktime track that shouldn't be used so early on imo... really needed something proggier with a more minimal intro to it
03. Chicane - Lost You Somewhere (heliotropic remix) [evelon]
hehe, this was one of the tracks i'd wanted to use before hearing the mix. very nicely mixed, and it works because it's upbeat enough to follow on from deadline, but at the same time feels more mellow.. so therefore suits the early stages of the set
04. Limited Growth - No Fate (Quadran Mix) [Belgian Bonzai]
hadn't heard of this track before i must admit, liked it though, well mixed and fits really well
05. Utah Saints vs Age Of Love - Age Of Vagueness (JH Bootleg)* [The Freezzz]
great track, didn't think the age of vocals added much to it though. the mix in was almost ok, but felt like the beat from the previous track completely dropped off as the bassline came in
06. Sunscreem Vs Push - Please save me (Push Remix) [DJ Roko]
decent enough choice.. but absolutely terrible trainwreck i can't believe this wasn't re-done?? really tarnishes the set for me
07. Robert Armani - Circus Bells (Hardfloor Mix) [RX]
following RX's djcomp mix i expected something a bit weird here from him & certainly got it it's an interesting twist but doesn't really keep with the flow imo, makes it sound like one set has ended and another started
08. LSG - Netherworld (Jules Verne Mix) [JakeC]
this on the other hand kept the flow brilliantly, excellent choice. mix was slightly off in a few places but recall it was done on vinyl so fair play
09. Robert Miles - In The Dawn [MoN-SooN]
wasn't sure on this to be honest, flow-wise it just seemed to drop down into a lull, was quite hard to follow on from. the transition was almost awesome but when the beat on netherworld drops off you can hear the two tracks drift slightly out of sync, makes it quite uncomfortable to listen to (for someone as picky as me)
10. Chakra - Love Shines Through [isoterra]
well like i said.. i found in the dawn hard to follow on from, and while the two tracks go really well together i thought the jump from deep trance to uplifting vocal trance was possibly a bit sharp.. but hey ho, best i could come up with
11. Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Solar Stone Remix) [plaxx]
12. Subliminal Cuts - Le Voie et Le Soleil (1996 Way Out West Club Mix) [Stevieboy32808]
13. BT - Flaming June(BT & PVD Mix) [Psychotron]
14. Madonna - Ray Of Light (Sasha Ultra Violet Mix) [Clovis86]
15. M.I.K.E. - Sunrise at Palamos[DJ Metatron]
i've lumped all these together because i have pretty much the same comments to make about all of them; fucking fantastic! not only were the mixes spot on, they were positively glowing... beautifully blended together and managed to flow perfectly despite the styles being pretty varied. i don't even like sunrise at palamos that much, find it quite overrated.. but it fitted so well here i couldn't help but appreciate it. and clovis's choice proves what valuable input can be had by good DJs from different musical backgrounds, just like with allied nations in GE4.. the tune isn't really trance at all but it goes perfectly
if the whole set was at the quality of the last 5 transitions/tunes then i think it would become my favourite set ever

Thank you, isoterra, appreciate it.
I have to come to Freezzz's defence though, No Fate abruptly crosses over from climax to outro, the beat just... well stops, real pickle for our Dutchie, but he did well, though I found it a little over-hi-hatted in the beginning of the mix, but like I said, very very good under the given circumstances.
