Tim Kring also revealed that although he plans to keep most of the "surviving cast" with the addition of a couple of new faces, Season 2 will start off with the heritage and lineage of some of the major heroes families, including the first generation of heroes (Mr. Linderman, the Petrelli Family, and Kaito Nakamura, among others.)[7] This season will have a total of 24 episodes.
Volume Two begins at the conclusion of "How to Stop an Exploding Man". Hiro Nakamura lands in the middle of a seventeenth-century battlefield near Kyoto, Japan. Kensei is about to begin a battle with another family when the event is interrupted by a solar eclipse.
