I cut 16 inches off my head in the summer and it took about almost 5 months to grow all back. My hair just grows at a rapid abnormal speed. Thing with mine is that it'll grow rapidly to a certain length ( 5 or so inches past my shoulders )and then STOP. So then I have to cut the dead ends off and damaged hair which leads it to grow to the same length again and STOP . I want to have the long hair I used to have, but can't seem to get there.

Everyone's hair does this. It's the natural biological ryhthm of how cells grow/regenerate. The hair grows fast for about 3 years...then is more dormant for about 3 years. It's a proven biological fact!

yeah long hair is such a pain in the ass, and it takes so much more effort to keep it looking great. i have a feeling once the summer weather gets here i'm gonna get pissed off and get it cut short again.

Really? Reason why I think it's abnormal is because no one else's hair of the people around me grow as fast as mine.

Really really! I mean..I'm sure yours DOES grow faster than some...everyone's different. Just saying that everyone goes through the "growing like a weed" phases.

FUCK THAT! I can't STAND short hair. This summer I am toughing it out even if I have to have it pinned up all the time. We had 110 highs last summer and that was one of the reasons why I HAD to cut it, just way too hot.

not like, butch short. just an inch above my shoulders or so, and nicely layered all around... i think short hair actually suits me better, but i had that style for so long so i was gonna try to do the long hair thing again.
the nice thing about having long hair in summertime is that you can throw it all up in a ponytail and have it out of your face and off your shoulders/back, which is nice.
