canada is no longer canada, when i walk down the street and see no white ppl, just blacks and indians and asians... |
People can think SO differently. I mean when I'm walking around an area that is completely different from me i get excited. I've live in plenty of foreign countries and visited in many others. And the one thing i loved the most was being 'exotic'. no lie, white boys go to Italy, or pakistan, or china. You become exotic, and again no lie being different or 'exotic' all of a sudden GAURANTEES you get laid. I loved living in Pakistan, and visiting Italy, when they hear you're canadian all off a sudden you're the hottest shit in town. In stead of feeling threatened, take advantage of it! I hate walking around here and being 'normal'. look at it this way, you're in a room full of blonde hollywood double d's all smoking, and you have only one lucy lu, or one beautiful persian eyed olive skined beauty queen.... who stands out? the xotic. you need some perspective. fuck blending in dude. I WISH i were in an area again where you could be considered 'different' from the rest

ur just being a bunch of shit disturbers who wanna get a reaction out of me. |
Honestly, I was not trying to get a reaction; I was just reacting to your comments as you presented them. You were pretty aggressive in your tone and didn't provide much context for your statements so most of us arrived at the same conclusion. The only people who didn't were mind-numbingly pedantic.

I dont care where people come from, what they look like, what language they speak, what clothes they wear etc etc. But what i do ask is that they respect canada when they arrive. This means that they have to do more to bend to our way of life then we do for theirs. They chose to come here and with coming here comes many many changes that need to be made in certain ways of life.
I cant fathom why anyone would come to canada for example, and demand that we change christmas customs. Whats even more baffling is that we actually listen to them.
The worst part still is that its only a small number of immigrants that paint a bad name for the majority. Yet we still have to bow down to the pressure. Thats the part of immigration that pisses a lot of people off. Sadly it usually ends up coming out in ignorant and sometimes racist generalizations.
Btw im all for bringing new ideas and ways of life into our country. BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHER PRE-EXISTING IDEAS AND WAYS OF LIFE as it tends to be today.

I totally agree, given that the existing ideas and ways are life are still demanded by the majority. Values and priorities in a country are constantly changing and evolving, and as long as the majority of the representatives in the legislative/judicial/executive branches of municipal/provincial/federal bodies agree with said new ideas, then I say get rid of the old ones!
Even when it seems the will of the minority is followed, it eventually goes through the test of the majority, so I don't have a problem with change (if that means no Christmas tree or what not). Of course, I have my own opinion as you do, which will be represented when I vote, sign a petition, or attend a demonstration so I am comfortable that my voice will be heard and the appropriate decision will be made in this wonderfully organized democracy that we live in!
That's all theory, of course, but I truly believe it is effectively applied in our country.
