sorry for bringing this back up but why do you care? for your information i doubt "money" was the issue here especially since the dollar is worthless these days lol..... there are people who are ignorant and some who arn't, and yes some people just happen to have more hatred towards the US (the policies and government i am talking about) and i don't blame anyone for that, but that doesn't mean they don't like the people or the places.

It's true. The dollar is fucking worthless. I have friends come from Europe, pay airfare and hotels, and go shopping in NYC like its some sort of flea market.

Then I go to europe, and wind up spending double on everything including a can of coca-cola.

the US is the new Mexico. Everything is seriously cheap for the europeans.

Never heard of him, anyone else you guys need to have double booked?" Reality check for you, but that's how the business is. If an artist wants to "spread his music to a new market", when they're at a low and underground level in their career, they do what they need to do that.

That's funny. I can name at least 6 American promoters and DJs who have given me a high-five (in PM, Myspace message, or IM form) and nod of agreement for mouthing you off like this, so you people out there better believe this isn't an isolated case. I won't name them though, they have much more to lose. One thing you need to understand is that we are an independent promotion group. We work with independent venues, and bring in (for the most part; of course some parties don't always deliver) an independent, refreshing, and EDM-knowledgeable crowd. Being "unprofessional" by speaking about all of this on a forum is nothing that I really care about. You're the bigtime producer now, and at the end of the day, we're regular people just like everyone on this forum: we're just regular people that love EDM and put our own hard-earned money to put on parties. I think one of the beauties in the New York scene is the emergence of independent promoters like me (and guys who do their job 50-100 times better and more consistent than me)... The amount of independent parties is what this city's all about. Back to the point though.. so, me being a "regular EDM person", I have opinions, views, and like a "regular person", I call them out when they need to be, at no loss to my "professionalism".

again bringing back some stuff up that needs to be mentioned...Marcello i love your music and what you do, your an amazing and respectable dj but truly this time i think you took it too far, i dont exactly know the situation but its funny that you say that he's rallying his people while your here doing the exact same thing by getting attention from something that should have never surfaced on a forum to begin with... I don't want to have to say this but i hope your not letting your fame or ego get into your head because i think you are smarter then that. And sure deadmau has an odd sense of humor but i think both of you should have made an effort to not speak about this publicly its unprofessional on both parts.

Don't mean to be rude but if you don't know the whole story then the best is to stay out of it and not get involved. And for the whole fame issue of Marcello,(HAH!) there are some dj's and producers in NYC and around the world that need to get there head out of there ass and get a reality check because he's the last one you should be thinking of IMO. I'm done I said what I have had to say and lets just go back to what we all go out and come on this board for.... The Music people!

Pleasure hanging out and talking to you. Definitely going to ask you for more advice if that gig I told you about happens Thanks again for the kind words too

Deadmau5 was a really nice guy all around and played a lot of his tracks and remixes! As the Deadmau5 clone, John Beaver, said deep bassy electro/prog/tech house. not a dull moment but i was pretty tired since I've been up since 6AM that day I knew he was bringing the Deadmau5 head and told him he should DJ in it the night before but no idea he was actually going to do that Joel thanks again for the hook up and hope you liked the shirt My friend got a kick out of you showing your personal pics from the Arthouse gig she was at too! Next time you come out, I'll bring my Daft Punk helmet and well rock it out when you drop Harder Better Faster Stronger just so long you dont write 1-800-boot-leg on it

Second time hitting up Mighty and I have to say it was good to see people I usually see at different venues/gigs due to dislikes about other venues/gigs (this includes me ) all in one place! Deadmau5 contributed more to this than the venue/promoter itself IMO just because you hear a lot of DJs of all genres play deadmau5 tracks.

All but for someone being a pest that just couldn't simply take no for an answer it was a great night!

Thanks again to Scott, Syd Gris, Guiv and everyone else for putting this together Rafal thanks for letting me borrow your lens for the short 30 minutes too. $500+ lens are so much better than my $80 one haha

uploaded a few pics to Spundae's site: http://www.spundae.com/gallery/gallery_details.php?gallery_id=102

I'll get the rest up along with a few videos sometime today -- videos take forever to encode on my obsolete pc

well it's posted in a public forum now isn't it? so your quite mistaken, i have opinions just as much as you do. Yes i don't know the whole situation but i did read most of what was going on enough for me to come up with my conclusions, if he wanted this matter to be private then he wouldn't have brought this up right?

I'm well aware he's not that kind of a person i was just making an assumption on what i was reading. But I think if Marcello has something to say he'll let me know directly, thank you

Hey Pete, no worries, nothing taken to offense haha... I see your point and yes, I'll be the first to admit, it went way outta control, very regrettable... And I'm not sure it makes any difference, but this is one of the few cases that it's a very negative thing to be both DJ and promoter... Things were posted on the promo screen name simply because it was issue we had on the promotion side of things... Had I never been in the business of booking international DJs, I guess this problem would have never creeped out of my mouth... I can assure you that it has nothing to do with ego on my part or anything else of the like... I respect your views and can assure you there's no ego involved, just a little annoyance that happened to slip out of mouth... You were one of the first people to come to my very first gigs when I was like 16, 17 haha... So I value your opinion and take them to heart... Hope to see you out soon, brotha!!

Very true Walid there's only prolly five famous Dj's in the whole world..Outside of EDM they are mostly unheard of..Think about it..If AVB died it wouldn't even get on the news..In EDM it's us that decides who's famous and not the media..
