um dude, we have ENOUGH lunatics in this city.
I was about to ask the same: wtf do they think canada is gonna do about it? I m so sick of people protesting for shit that we either a. have nothing to do with or b. will NOT have anything to do with.
WE HAVE OUR OWN PROBLEMS. mayeb they out to fly back home and protest there?
haha..well we don't want them either! At least if they protest to someone who actually do something (UN) it might be a different story. I guess we could send a few RCMP officers on horseback and see how that goes...
Send them our Swine infected pigs if they would like as well...but seriously...do they think Canada can end the 25+ year civil war overnight??

I'm sure they lost what little support they had because of this.
ter⋅ror⋅ism
/ˈtɛrəˌrɪzəm/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [ter-uh-riz-uhm]
–noun
1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes
They said that they will continue to disrupt the daily lives of the citizens of Toronto until their demands are met? Sounds like terrorism to me.
I'm all about peaceful protests to get a message out, but once you shut down a major highway and put the safety of the general public at risk it crosses the line and is no longer peaceful.
If these people carried Sri lankan flags and protested the bloodbaths comprising innocent civillians, there would be empathy towards their cause...
But carrying a militant flag? sorry..unacceptable.
if any of you think that they are not a terrorist group, do some reading heres one place to start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libera...uicide_bombings (oh and yes i know its wikipedia but its the most central of it all)..
if you still feel that our government or anyone should take action and prevent the deaths of LTTE, you should also think about being mad at taliban deaths and such
No way when it has to do with a terrorist organisation and more importantly when it disrupts the lives of innocent citizens living in this or any city. SAD and desperate pathetic attempt at gaining sympathy. Even more useless and cowardly is using young women/children as shields against the cops. Wtf.

This news is making it all over the place, they were talking (read: laughing at us) about this in the staff room in my school in scotland today....
Human shields, especially of women and children, have always been a win-win for political causes.
They are the first to die or get injured, praised as martyrs, and used in heavily inflated "innocent civilians" death/injury statistics.
The middle-east has used this tactic for decades, and now we're seeing it right here in our backyard.
This has backfired on them as I now wonder how many REAL innocent civilians do die everyday in Sri Lanka?

that's because they would never get away with that in any other country. The cops were probably scared that if they used force the tamils would cry racism
