I was really digging this genre, a lot. What was pretty cool about it is that it's a pretty versatile bag. From my understanding the whole UK Funky thing is really housey stuff with percussion reminiscent of a style like reggaeton. I tried not to stray too far from that but I can definitely see all sorts of other styles mixed up with this.
1. Robin S - Show Me Love (Geeneus Remix)
2. Estelle - Comve Over (Crazy Cousinz Remix)
3. Diamond - Fly Away (Ft. Sophie Romain)
4. Gracious K - Migraine Skank
5. Fish Go Deep - The Cure & The Cause (Dennis Ferrer Remix)
6. Nick Holder - Summer Daze (Funkin Skanks Mix)
7. Aaron Carl - Oasis (Nick Holder Vocal Dub)
8. Fuzzy Logik - In The Morning (Ft. Egypt)
9. Rebecca Knight - Guilt Secret (Sunday Showers)
This is far too poppy and mainstream-oriented funky for my tastes, and too short to really go anywhere. Otherwise, however, this works fairly well as a quick romp through this particular aspect of funky. The first transition is a bit messy, but the quick mixing works well in general for these tunes. I'm happy I actually got a mix out of my choice. Maybe next time I'll get one that's a bit more varied.

Superb stuff, with yummy percussion and bass across the board. The build is extremely subtle on this (even though the last half gets markedly more intense percussionwise), so I wouldn't really listen to this in the background or do other stuff while listening, as it won't be as enjoyable or make as much sense. The middle bit with Sterac, PWOG and Tata Box Inhibitors really gets the trance-aspect of the challenge down to a tee.
rodri i saw your tracklist yesterday and the obvious standout was of course "dvt2001". i wanted to see how you would work it. it was mainly for that reason i downloaded your mix, i didn't want to actually hear a mix of some of the most obnoxious brostep out there. but i try to listen to everyones mix as it's only fair.
yeah, the mixing was decent up till the showdown remix and then it was all disjointed. dvt2001 was quite a nice addition but you needed to worked it better, maybe make an edit before. but yeah there was two songs that made me want to stab myself in the ears repetedly. for the love of jebus, don't ever use them again if you plan to play more dubstep.
lews, good stuff. proper nice '99 era epic trance anthem bashine with a nice programming and decent mixing.
game + watch, not bad. flow was patchy but the mixing was decent for most part. tunes, there was a couple of ones to the end half that was i couldn't remember to save my life. also, the signs of audio degradation due to ableton/pitch lock or what it's called was in the mix and that was a wee annoying. other than that, a good effort.
floyd. yeah, it quite nice but way to short, 'cure and the cause' was a highlight and a good compliment to the mix since it's shuffled percs worked with the proper type uk funky

downloaded both, will listen to them a bit later.
Rodri:
The mix starts very abrupt. Intro could've been softer.
As you said, it's basically a mix of the commercial stuff and some slightly less commercial stuff.
Just noticed the transition at 14:10 felt harmonically displeasing.
Or at least very short; I felt the same shortness in the other transitions as well, but they were not as harmonically displeasing.
Later on we find the horrible transition of 37:22 and 39:25. I see no reason for why you would include Dance Valley in the mix. Just completely out of place.
I liked the Bassnectar tracks, but not so much the others. Wobbledose =\
Converting Vegetarians has absolutely no value in this mix. http://echodub.co.uk/ <-- listen to the (free) compilations/albums available at the bottom. That's the kind of dubstep I prefer. Wobblebass is OK once in a while, and as stated I liked the Bassnectar tracks. But there was too much wobble in this mix for me to keep it in the playlist.

the point of using dvt2001 in a dubstep mix which focuses on wobble is utilizing the fact the breakdown of the track uses a similar type of warped bass.

Yeah I noticed that. Just felt everything else about it was out of place.

Wicked. I only wish it was a bit longer. Mine cuts off at 65:51, how long is it supposed to be? I dug the flow, the percussion, the mixing, the tunes. Everything rocked. Nice job.

Pretty cool. The first transition was the only one that bugged me. The lyrics and the style was pretty neat, kinda cool. It all made sense after I heard it. Nice effort.
I will listen to Lews and Rodri's set tomorrow hopefully.

thanks alot. ye it's supposed to be that long*, i faded out the last tune before it's proper ending since i didn't see the point since all those 32 bars before the ending is just more synth buzz and beats and mixout.
* actually, my original plan was to end on a pitch dark surgeon tune (shaper of the unknown) but i couldn't pull of the transition i had planned before hand and i didn't want to fuck up a perfect take so my gut instinct was "don't do it".
edit, your version cuts off the last minute, it's supposed to be 66:57, not 65:51

I've got a few of these I want to work through, but montana I listened to yours first. First off, I'll say that I'm really glad you got this genre. The mix could easily have ended up being an hour of Sander van Doorn et al. crap in the hands of the wrong person.
As Sand Leaper said; really excellent, very subtle. The intensity barely seemed to lift throughout, but then if you skip back and forth between the beginning and end, the difference is apparent. Some of the basslines were gorgeous, too. My favourite aspect was the melodic track you used at around 53 minutes. It wasn't particularly huge or uplifting, but you really increased its impact with so many melodically stark tracks beforehand. The last track was nice, too. It reminded me strangely of Many Reasons, by Joris Voorn. Mixing was tight. Great work.
track at 53 is marzz - velvet star, a track i bought for this mix, great tune.
about the subtleness of the build, that was something i thought wouldn't come across as all of the tunes are fairly energetic but they all have their place. i had a m.o. of going on strong, taking it down and then building up again, and you have to be a good programmer to pull it off as if you fuck up and do bad type of mixing it just comes across as mindless bosh.
and ye, i thought i let lews get the proper type techtrance mix as i said, it's some of the first phase, some of the oliver lieb phase and the marco v phase.
thanks again for the kind words

Have you heard of Innergy? It's an oldish project with a similar sound to Marzz (edit: they're both on Detox Records, actually), with Comet Crashtest being my favourite track.
