Cool

Nearly forgot, here is the comments I prepared for all of you on your mixes, sorry if they seem a bit harsh, it aint intended, just wanna help u all improve

Wicked Neo
Good, well accomplished mixing style, recording quality is a bit poor 4 yr standards of master masterer A few bass clashes, but I think the recording lets the mix down in general.

LiquidXXD
Excellent tracklist progression. Quite a few gain problems in the set. Beatmatching is generally good but not always locked on beat. Generally good use of EQ but many of the transitions did not sound right, they sounded almost forced and many are cued late.

Cable
Good tracklist progression although it keeps falling back into prog from epic. Very good beatmatching and use of EQ, although into Crimson Soil wasn't as crisp as it may have been.

DJRavemonkey
Generally very good mixing with some original mixing techniques, tracklist progression is a bit strange in parts, namely near the end mixing soft and hard but yet managing to pull it off quite well. Some transitions ended up a bit strange, I know you can do better even though u think this is your best.

DJSoundWave
Lack of EQ use, only bass. Cueing error on Massive, bringing in some tunes harsly or swapping bass over harshly, weird tracklist progression in parts, eg. Saccoman inbetween 2 massive epic tracks. No offence, but you mix was bloody fast for it's genré. Stop listening to PvD

Gibbo
Nice tracklist that flows together well, even Break This fits nicely even though I thought it wouldn't. Generally good beatmatching and excellent use of EQ. Some transitions send shivers down my spine like the great mix into Alone In The Dark. Long Live Bonzai. BTW, very clever of you not to put to aliases the same in

DaveC
Nice tracklist that goes weird in places, like The First Rebirth among much more epic light tunes. Some gain errors. IMO there were some bass clashes, just use more EQ, it won't bite you Beatmatching is fairly good but u seem 2 give up in parts on it.

Kuffdam
Playing many tracks by the same artist together is a bit risky but flows well together. The ending does not really fit with the rest of the set, some beatmatching errors were left just to fall out uncorrected, good EQ work. IMO, far too early peak to the set. Some gain errors and tracks cut out sharply.

mr_sick
1st track seems very quiet and lacking bass, some bad gain work. Generally very good tracklist progression. Quite a few beatmatching errors, but always willing with corrections which generally were correct. Harmonics were ok, I think more EQ could have been used.

eLe_vAtE
Tracklist flows extremely well, from breaks and prog to full on melodic, great selection. Beatmatching generally seems ok, but a few bad corrections fuck it all up at times, although generally they were right. Some of the mixes were also left slightly off beat uncorrected.EQ work seems to be good although a couple of the mixes do clash in part. I have found it hard to determine this due to the extremely low recording level. In general, good mixing spoilt by In My Memory.

xKaoSx
Very good progression, although IMO the peak should be nearer the end not in the first half of the set, average beatmatching, a lot of mixes beatmatched but not on beat, hence the mark drop, lack of corrections of this keeps the mark like this - sorry. Gain control is extremely poor in some places, eg. Café Del Mar is a lot quieter than its surrounding tracks, I think this mix suffers extremely from lack of confidence for correcting and use of EQ/Gain, but having said that it would not be difficult for you to improve a lot very quickly.

stanymi
Good tracklist progression, although there is a not so nice mix of new and old tunes with more and less amateury tunes all over the shop. Average beatmatching. Not so good harmonics and lack of EQ, some gain problems and bad cueing, eg. into Carrera 2 and into Open Our Eyes

dj_spare
Beatmatching is spot on. Harmonics are dreadful though. No attempt to use EQ at all and some transitions are plain nasty. However the songs are cued so you don't have to use the EQ. Tracklist progression is ok but builds the wrong way. The difference in gain between some tunes is noticeable and some tunes are cut out too quickly or not faded down quick enough. Impressed with the excellent beatmatching and good attempts to avoid EQ but nothing else. I'm still not sure why you decided to chop the end of the mix and especially where you did.

Haak
Excellent track progression, generally good beatmatching and harmonics. Only thing I have to say is don't fart on with backspins and other tricks unless you know that you can pull them off because I think it really spoils the mix in parts. I'm not saying don't do them (the end was nice and original), but there is a time and a place and that wasn't it. Practise makes perfect my friend.

mantisnl
Flow of tracklist is just about there, but there are some sharp jumps and the mood of the mix also changes between songs, eg from Troy to Dreaming Of You. Beatmatching is good for the amount of time you have been learning, but lack of corrections and also correcting them the wrong way bring it down as the mixes are often beatmatched but not on beat. Harmonics are OK, relatively little EQ used, mainly only bass and some gain errors in the set.

eieregooie
Tracklist progression is very good although playing The Theme in there was plain wrong. Quite a few mixes were beatmatched but not really sitting on beat. Harmonics are ok but could be better.

DJ Mikey Mike
Very good tracklist progression, mixing seems a slight tired a at the end. One error I spotted was Viola to Punk, I thought there must have been a needle skip or something, so I tried the mix myself and Viola goes whacko at the end and goes off cue, but cueing was perfect beforehand. Some bass changes were a bit too sharp aswell.

dj Zevan
Extremely good beatmatching. IMO tracklist progression does not fit as soon as the epic tunes start coming in, the set becoms a bit higgeldy-piggeldy, eg Jetlag after Obsession and The Cosmic Dancer after Sunset, which I know is similar in style but does not have the same energy. I think your set lacks energy and there are some clashes in the bass as you seem to fade the EQ accross rather than swap it, eg into Just Another Day where the whole transition clashes. To play an epic set with transitions this long is just plain wrong, if you want to do this I believe you would have been much better just playing a progressive set. I also have noticed some of the gains are off, the recording of the mix also lacks a lot of bass. I believe this set to be one of the best for beatmatching, but I believe you are let down in other departments due to mixing the wrong style the wrong way.

JohnSmith
I think this mix was done on one of your bad days, as you seem to fall short of luck with over-powerful corrections and needles skipping, and I know you can do much better. All I can say is keep trying. Tracklist generally progresses well and there is some good EQ work in there.

t0ast
Very good tracklist progression. Lots of mixes beatmatched but not quite on beat, some falling off beat quite badly wuth little or no effort to correct them. Some transitions fell particularly nasty like into Moonshine. Quite good EQ work. Quite a few tracks were cued late. A few gain errors. I also suggest u turn one of the outputs down whether it be into your soundcard or master volume is up to you, but the distortion on the mix is nasty.
