I really like the look of the track actually. It seems to be a return to the flowing tracks that used to exist rather than the stop-go tracks we are used to today.

Interesting race so far. Too bad Schumi went backwards, but I'm sure he will end up in the top 8. Rubens is doing a great job

Edit: Schumi has a flat tire. Must be his unluckiest weekend ever

i agree, long corners are good, but some of these seem to last forever...

we've seen some good racing though.. nothing too spectacular, but the GP was nice. well deserved victory for Rubens Barrichello.

I think the fact that each corner sequence went from a left hand turn to a right hand turn (or vica versa) made for some really intresting racing, shame the grip on the tramac was so good, aperently after a year or two the tarmac grip should reduce alot so making it slower for the cards incorners (well thats what ITV said (UK TV))

Yeah, the first/middle section of the track had some really good flow, with corners that changed radius and then changes of directions etc, great track. Part of me wishes that the hairpin at the end of the loooooooooooooooooooong straight was tighter though, make it a real 180 turn, maybe narrow down the exit a bit too.
The Australian V8 Supercar championship is going to China to race next year, its gonna be great racing with them (a super competitive series) using that great track.

The race Sunday was pretty good, good battles right through the field, plenty of drama (the bingles at that hairpin). Gotta feel sorry for Christian Klien having to retire while MSC (i think) continued on no probs. Not a bad effort by Villeneuve considering his lack of race time in the past 12 months, but really he probably should have gone a bit better.

Huge news here:

Jarno Trulli to drive for Toyota in Japan and Brazil.

He will race with Panis in Japan, but for Brazil Panis will step aside, allowing Zonta to race in his home GP. Ryan Briscoe will be third driver for both events.

Its thought giving Trulli the drive will help Toyota jump in front of Jaguar in the constructors championship.

^^
And if you thought that was big news

THIS IS FARKING HUGE NEWS!!!

Britain is expected to NOT host a Formula 1 GP possibly starting next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some sources say they can't afford the fees demanded by FOM, just heard it on our sports news show, they had a snippet with Jackie Stewart saying (paraphrasing) "you can't blame us cos we don't own the license, and we aren't the promotors".

Other sources say that the state of the track and facilities are not up to scratch and is why its being dropped. Bernie has reportedly said that it is a country fair masquerading as an international event. Stirling Moss (paraphrased) - "this would be a big shame for motorsport not only in Britain but worldwide"

lol, the term F1 "circus" is to be taken literally from now on... what has happened this year with drivers constantly disappearing from the scene and switching seats?!

and yeah, it's a real shame Silverstone has been scrapped off the calendar, that was a great circuit.

well apparently there will be a new team in F1 starting 2006, or even as soon as next season if they buy out Jaguar. The team will be Dallara which has had some experience in motorcycle racing I believe.

And some more BAR news, it seems as though Sato will race for them next year as well, and Button will be replaced by Anthony Davidson (25), who had been testing for BAR this season.

eek
