unfortunatly it seems this thread has degraded from intelligent debate on the situation to personal shit-fests. there has been some great posts and there has been some god-awful ones. instead of biting each other why don't you discuss things sensibly? there is no need to resort to opening a post with "shitface" or another such personal attack. there is simply no need.

at the end of the day, we can all sit here posting about who is the biggest bastard, and who was where first and how many hundred years ago, but this will not change a damn thing. this is exactly WHY the problem has escalated as much as it has in israel; because neither side is concentrating on the future, they are all stuck in the past, and as we all know, the past isn't a particularly nice place concerning that area of the the world.

i think this thread has expired to be honest, and lets face it this argument will never end. which is precisely why i wish the people in israel, be they palestinian or israeli, would look forwards and hammer out some kind of deal. maybe the fact that arafat is dead will help, seeing as the israeli people view him as such a devil.
