hmmz well could be unlucky to be down 1 goal, and unlucky to not have scored ourselves! but we looked pretty good when attacking. one thing's for sure, the commentator must be looking forward to cruising in his new yacht courtesy of soccer australia....

goddamn australians

watch that replay. all of you. even watch swarzer's elbow going into the head of one of the strikers. there was nothing wrong with that goal. which is why it stands.

ok two players run into him, one could be fine but the second one to the side clearly infringed him, which should be a foul

nope.

ffs, it was a pack of players going for the ball, swarzer finds himself well out of position, makes contact with 2 players, comes off second best. bad keeping.

That goal was bullshit but Australia have still failed to capitalise on all their possession in Japan's half. On the other hand everytime Japan have attacked in the Australian half they have looked dangerous. Their attacking speed is something Australia just can't seem to stop. Much of Australia's gameplan was thought to be centred on crosses and using the height advantage but they tried that on many occassions in the first 20 minutes with no result. Kewell and Bresicano came close but unfortunately close isn't good enough.
Wilkshire has looked totally out of his depth when defending. Alex is just too quick and too skilful for him; only a matter of time before one of those diagonal runs (from him or another Japanese player) produces a result.
