LKD, she never really accused us of just listening to trance. I think everyone here listens to different genre's...I myself, listen to different kinds of electronic music...trance I'm a little picky about these days. I only like certain trance tunes, and when I do listen to trance, it's usually tunes from the pre-2001 days. Lately there's been some nice stuff coming out (Tranzy State, Solar Coaster, for example) but I usually listen to the classic trance songs like Universal Nation, Carte Blanche, Angelfalls, Exhale, etc etc etc. As for DJ's...PvD and AvB are the only really great DJ's to me at the moment. I know there's other great "trance" dj's, like John 00 Flemming and a few (very few) others, but I haven't heard anything recent by some of the other few dj's, so I'm not really including them. Aside from trance, I listen to progressive, break beats, some house and ambient/chillout tunes. I'm really into the electronic dance music genre. Hip Hop I dislike, but at the same time don't mind it...I can listen to it as background music. I also enjoy some classical once in a while..I usually listen to that when I take a break from the electronic music.

This is tranceaddict, so everyone on this site loves trance, we all know that, but of course some of us have different things we like as well. What the wrong impression is is that we are like trance addict robots. We are not.
Trance is my # 1 but I go crazy to some hip hop, and I think that mainstream wise Hip Hop and R&B have taken on a new popularity as we have seen in the past few months. I am a dancer and I use hip hop in my dance routines mostly, it has this groove trance does not have. Then again I love trance for its ability to bend your mind, and lots of other good things.

i agree, i found the groove mostly in tribal, tek-house, progressive and breakS. i can't seem to find that in trance, because its just pure banging beats, which im not saying is not good, but trance is just different from other genders. i like some hip hop, but the underground one's. yesterday me and infinity HIGH we downtown to get a CD, and in those kind of places you notice many underground hip hop talents from toronto my friend actually bought a CD from 1 of the guys (he listens to hip hop) and i thought that this guy had some nice lyrics. i like listening to it when your chilling, but it has to be something unique, not the same bullshit from money, hoes, bla bla bla, etc.
