Usually its the mail carriers fault that it takes so long. It could have been searched by customs, which usually adds a nice delay to

but ... my experience with both Juno and Chemical records is that their carriers take usually 10 days or more. I have never had an order from DanceGrooves take more than 5 days. And order around 6 records the cost comes out nearly the same from all three of those shops.

someone earlier asked about release records. i can say that release knows their shit. i have been dealing with them since i started spinning. i lived in toronto and they were great. now i reside in korea they ship here well. although expensive, but i get good service. the dude encharge of the online stores is dry but knows his job and does it: mitch is his name, if you have any problems just talk to him. max graham lives above the store and is a regular, if that means anything...also they tell you when they post the new releases so everyone has a chance at those limited promos...

i can honestly say don't doubt release....if your order is lost and you are a regular customer they replace it...also, juno and tune inn will do that too (for regulars)...

OH YEA ... good luck trying to find a store that gives you better samples...high quality and long....

hope this helps .. .

Well, I have had my decks for 3 years now, and have mostly used Juno. In all that time I have only once had any problems, and that was just the wrong record getting sent in an order, and even then they sent out the right record straight after I told them of their mistake. So, I generally use Juno. I have used Dancegrooves once, and it took about a month for my records to arrive (from Holland to the UK) so I wont be using them again. I have also used Tuneinn twice, one time no problems, the second time they only had about 8 of the 10 or so records I ordered in stock. Still not bad though, I'd use them again. But I'd say Juno is my number one.

If your gonna by from planetxusa you need to be prepared for them to be assholes to you. They have this availability indicator: green means "in stock", blue means they can maybe order it, and black means its deleted and almost impossible to get.

I always order all green ones, because they are suppose to be in stock. Once they emailed me and told me that 3 of the records I picked out were actually no in stock, and they changed it to blue, and told me I didnt meet the minimum order requirement so they tried to get me to pick out more records.

I have had a couple other problems with them too and they are always assholes about it. I wouldnt recommend buying from them unless the tune is not available anywhere else.

In summary: their prices are high and their service is horrible.

Try satelliterecords.com, globalbeats.com, or essentialgroove.com

Dotvinyl again

Long time since something about dotvinyl has been posted in here for the last time!

Well, unfortunately I didn't read this thread b4 ordering at their store - and it looks like I've been ripped off!

I ordered the 2003 Whitelabel release of Atlantis vs. Avatar - Fiji (incl. Sorority Sex Kittens Rmx), cause they were they only one's still having it on stock... at least I thought they do.

So, same thing that happened to all the others experiencing problems with dotvinyl - NOTHING happened! No order confirmation e-mail (only from Worldpay to confirm the charge of my CC), money has been charged the day after ordering and there's no way to cantact them. Only one of their e-mail adresses works at all (email@dotvinyl.com) - failure notices on the other one's. But, of course, they don't reply on the working one aswell. I didn't try to phone them, cause I absolutely don't know why I should waste even more money phoning from Germany to the UK!

Anywayz, I mailed them twice now - no replies. I give them one more week, if I have no vinyl then and no e-mail reply aswell I'll phone my CC company and the payment will be charged back!

Btw, they apologized for past problem on their website on the 1st of May this year and said everything's OK again now... looks like it's not!

So, I can only recommend to stay away from dotvinyl.com! They suck bigtime! I'll keep you updated if anything happens (as if)

I purchase from Juno on a regular basis. I have no problem with their service, and I usually get my shipment in the US within 3 days after placing the order. Their prices are a little more expensive than others considering the conversion rate from the Pound to the Dollar, but they have some things that other shops are out of stock on. They also show new release CD's for the week where other stores ignore CD's unless you specifically search for them, or they don't carry them at all.

HTFR on the other hand charges 19 Pounds to ship a single vinyl to the US. No thanks!

If you're looking for vinyl or CD's that you think can no longer be found, try http://www.cdexpress.com/ They have found jems that were long out of print, and they are reasonably priced (better than HTFR). If the vinyl or CD is out of print, don't worry. If it's on their web site, they can get it. It might take them up to 21 days to find it, but they do!! They don't bootleg, or press their own. They are all original factory CD's or Vinyl.

I give them 5 stars for their effort and availability to find things that have been long gone.

Conclusion in the dotvinyl case ;-)

Well, today my story with dotvinyl comes to an end... I wrote them 3 more e-mails - and as you can probably guess, of course they didn't reply to ANY mail.

So, a week ago I was finally sick and tired, and I wrote my CC company a letter with all the necessary info, so they can charge back the payment. Well, and they were really fast - the money was back on my cc account today

And well, as far as I know, chargeback costs A LOT of money, which dotvinyl also has to pay now. When I now see how many people on the web posted their bad experiences with dotvinyl...well, they sure have to pay a lot of chargeback costs every month - let's hope they give up their online store soon, so they can't fool people anymore.

So again my advice: NEVER ORDER AT DOTVINYL.COM!!!

Oh and btw, I ordered at chemical-records for the first time, two weeks ago, to get the limited test pressing of "The White Room"... And I can only recommend them! Very fast, very good order information via e-mail, extremely good packing and nice prices aswell (especially 2 pounds shipping from the UK to Germany is very cool)! Try them ppl
