Oooouuufffffff...
I got home from Ottawa at 9am and slept til 6pm, woke up, got ready while listening to Preach's Relic Mix album hahahaha and then met shawn05 and mitsutranza, got to BeB at 10pm. The search went well, I was expecting to get a more thorough one tho, considering the event. Got inside, straight to the Tech room, where I saw a pretty empty room. I went out to get a water bottle. When I got back, it was packed. I saw Marco 3 times this weekend, and he's just insane. I like sooooo much about him as a DJ: tracks, energy, the way he pumps himself and the crowd up, it's awesome to see. Every time I heard "Ladies and gentlemen, Start Your ENGINESSSSSSS....!" I went insane. He also dropped Punch Drunk - Cirez D which is madness imo.
Fanciulli came on and raped me. This insane combination of electro-acid-prog he had going on the ENTIRE time was ridiculous. I can't say much about him except that I was blown away overall. A bit he didn't drop his own production Squirrled but, my God he was amazing.
Then shawn05 killed my amazing time by smacking my back many times til I noticed him pointing directly to the stage and I saw a guitar. We tapped many TAs on the shoulder, grouped and marched right out of there. I kinda pretty much ran away just as IM played that little guitar sound. I got out just as their first way-too-fast-145bpm beat came on. I made it out alive, we got to the House room, Ghetta was on, the look on his face scared us more so shawn05 ran away and escaped back to IM, and the rest of us stayed.
Mon dieu...du psyc trance apres du fkn bon Nic =
I drifted to the house room and caught the end of Say What You Want, my God I love that track. Guetta was a disaster imo. It was never more than 3 minutes of decent cheese, fade out, (cue in me and all-nite-freak yelling "Someone fucked my washing machine" during entire silence lmao...), a lil Tiesto/Armin pose from David, all the mingia bros going nuts, fade in, huge drop, repeat above. Not good.
Rauhofer was good for 25 minutes, then it got bad, so I went back to the Tech room, endured Armin for 30 mins, way too fluffy for my liking, I heard some harder stuff later but whatever.
Then I chilled.
And thank God I did.
I took a break for about 2 and a half hours before Preach got on. I chilled with lots of TAs, so much fun Then Mitsutranza text msgd me at 9:08am and said "He's on!"
I went over almost immediately, got in, saw the only braves ones left (you know who you are!) and began to enjoy one of the most flawless and mind-blowing live sets I have ever heard.
It was pure insanity, music I personally haven't experienced on that level in a while, if not, ever. There was never a dull moment, a bad mix, a so-so track...It was just soooooo great!
I ended up in the booth with him for the last 2 hours of his set. I was so happy I got to see what he was doing again...he has this finesse when he mixes, this particular something I haven't seen in any DJ. I can easily say I have never seen a DJ so calm, cool, and collected that delivered such a BANGING set. It was a pleasure chilling with you Phillippe, you really transformed that morning into something ELSE.
SO MANY TAs to mention whoooooaaaaa...Mitsutranza, shawn05, magikb, allnitefreak, anne, karl24, lopitrance, fastmp3, plumpfunk, FunKenLouis, Vermz, Piper, J@y, Enjoy, Jester, Marcus007, TheDevil, malek, Light78, sure there are more. Luv you all
An unbelievable, incredible night.
An unexpected, unspeakable morning.
Juat awesome
See you bitches at Sander...
