Cavities are caused by bacteria, but it's the sort of bacteria that exists naturally in your mouth, not from eating things that are "dirty." The bacteria consume residual sugars in your mouth, and produce acidic biproducts which strip the mineral coating from your teeth (or something like that).

i agree with u myra cavity can have several causis it's caused by bacteries

in my case my enamel is very delicate so the more i brush my teeth the more it gets used and as a result i have cavities (i have cavities since im little and even at this time i wasnt eating candies or anything)

so i have to be careful when i brush my teeth

.....im 21 and already have a crowned tooth

on my way to have a second one

(i can thank my old dentist for all the bad job he did on me ....)
