Agreed, both on definitely a long shutter speed and that I want the original. You get the bumps cause it wasn't terribly long, if you left it open longer you'd get that smoothed look i'm sure you've seen.
One of my friends goes to art school in chicago and has a sculpture class with one of his housemates. One project they were assigned was to create something thats unique to where it's placed, one dude did a large metal cigarette butt and attached it to the ground outside of one of the school buildings next to an ashtray. His roommate did this:
