I'm scheduled to go to Berlin Apr. 23-26 and the summer season open may 1st??!?

Nice!

Just know that if you extend your trip, you may not get in. They turn a lot of people away at the door for no apparent reason.

You have mentioned that about a few places now. What is up with that policy? Seems strange to me, especially cause there has to be some patter or reasoning behind it.

Naw i heard this as well about a few places in Berlin...
I think Watergate was one of them (Graham?).
Its one of those things where capacity is limited so they may just choose ppl that they deem "appropriate" or "cool".
Also avoids a lotta youngans comin' in.

Berghain, Bar25, Watergate, and Weekend are known for doing it. They have so many people that want to go that they can get away with it. It does suck becuase there doesn't seem to be any reason for it (except for drunk Brits). Given all of that once you do get it you do feel differently and you do notice the great vibe in the clubs.

When you were in Germany, were you able to speak to anybody who got denied one week, and got in another?

We got denied at Weekend (we were hammered though and it was late), Watergate..this one pissed us off because be were early, sober and had met girls in the line...but we were told we were on the "list".

We then got turned away at Berghain but I managed to talk our way in. Best club experience I've ever had...great crowd, never packed, felt safe, never saw one bouncer inside the club. You could see people being turned away still at 9AM.

My next trip to Berlin I got into Berghain no problem, and turned away from Bar25.

A friend who spent the summer there was turned away from Watergate and Weekend once each and Berghain 2 times (despite being able to speak German.

I was planning on heading to Berlin this summer too... any tips on how to get in ??? I'll be with two hot chicks lol if that helps and we don't speak german unfortunately
