Actually it was "Obedience is pleasure and pleasure is obedience"; an Orwellian take on sexual perversion. The whole 'pleasure battery' thing was to kind of 'fill out' the scenario as though pleasure was energy that could be 'stored' in her battery. The guy had all of these photographs of her that he'd doctored up with somewhat elaborate circuit-board paths. Really, there was this unseemly creepy vibe throughout their on-camera exchanges which became even more unsettling when the narrator announces that the day after her hypnosis, they had been playing the robot game well into the morning.

They featured other guests, including two inventors/entrepreneurs who were working on actual sex robots.



What was striking throughout the documentary was the theme of control and domination which seemed to require a dehumanization of what would then be, ostensibly, a sexual object. There was another photo-chopper who would take photos of women and substitute circuit-board in their cut-out faces. The way each of them spoke, it was like they were channeling Jeffrey Dahmer; his ambitions and aims regarding their 'others'. Then, as though it was just a thought that occurred to them for the sake of appearing to be 'normal' on national television, they would include some humanizing consideration that was just as quickly minimalized as secondary to the overall fantasy.
