Still, there's something fun about being there for sure.

I dont know, the device i'm talking about gives you whatever information you want as if you were watching at home.

Cant find a pic anywhere, mayb you know what I'm talking about, you've prolly seen it also

Yeah, I've seen those little gadgets. They're neat, but I've never invested in one when at a race, therefore I've lacked some of the detail.

You can also subscribe to get updates sent to your phone via sms etc too, but I've never bothered with that either.

from the stats I can see that Button has won more races, and that kimi was very close of outdoing vettel's record of 1:22:49.328 in 60 laps.

I predict that Hamilton could win this race, but the competition is fierce with vettel, alonso and liuzzi

I hope one of the Force India guys can steal a win today.

The Brawn's look to be in a good spot after the fuel weights were published though there's still a question mark over Rubens'gearbox.

This season has been insane!

The Renault Formula One team issued the following press release on Wednesday:

The ING Renault F1 Team will not dispute the recent allegations made by the FIA concerning the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.

It also wishes to state that its managing director, Flavio Briatore and its executive director of engineering, Pat Symonds, have left the team.

Before attending the hearing before the FIA World Motor Sport Council in Paris on 21 September 2009, the team will not make any further comment.

I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge

Crazy shit for sure.

Seeing Flavio involved in something like this doesn't really surprise me too much. Symonds on the other hand, does.

I think Renault made the right move getting rid of both of them with immediate effect, and not trying to deny any wrongdoing (though at the same time, not admitting any wrongdoing).

I think this preemptive action will save the team since they must know something juicy.

If the team would have tried to drag this out, only to still get caught, they risk a huge ban and likely loss of sponsorships.

If they can pass this off as an isolated incident involving shady management, they might just get through this.

^ agreed .
I feel bad for Symonds, Flavio I couldn't care less.
Just when I thought my opinion of NPJ couldn't be lower he does this. I am disappointed he got immunity.

Why didn't Renault get a fine ? I assume they did get the money for the points they earned in Singapore ? this is a sham

I think they voluntarily put forth an acceptable proposal which included financial contributions towards FIA safety initiatives etc. so there was money involved.

The FIA couldn't apply a fine like the McLaren one a few years ago because nobody has the $$$ anymore. Renault would have folded up shop and left the championship and that would be worse for the sport.

I think this was a very balanced and pragmatic solution that came about because of the efforts of Renault before the trial. Had they denied it and dragged things out in the courts, I think the result would have been a lot nastier.
