Nou thinks governments should enjoy the same privacy as individuals. Too bad governments aren't held to the same standards as people in regards to their behavior and actions outside of their country. |
The problem is that everyone here saying "go wikileaks" thinks that the governments are doing something wrong. No they are doing their fucking jobs. They are looking out for the best interests of their state, your state (the your might be debatable though). Part of that involves deals that only your country and maybe a couple other countries are privy to, and for good reason. There are other countries out there that WANT TO HURT YOUR COUNTRY. Either economically, militarily, socially, somehow, there are countries where their interests are directly opposed to yours.
This idea that you should know everything your government knows flies in the face of reason. If you know then your enemies will know. There are spies amongst you, the media will report it, foreign governments pay attention to what goes on domestically. You don't think China gets CNN or The Guardian or the New York Time or WSJ? Come the fuck on people, wake the fuck up, this is how the world works. I am sorry if this wikileaks shit made you scared and offended that your governments are doing what they have been doing for the last 3000 years.
