yeah, the mixing was decent up till the showdown remix and then it was all disjointed. dvt2001 was quite a nice addition but you needed to worked it better, maybe make an edit before. but yeah there was two songs that made me want to stab myself in the ears repetedly. for the love of jebus, don't ever use them again if you plan to play more dubstep.

Yes dvt2001 was an idea i had, i like to mix genres a lot in my sets but this wasn't dropped as should, just a snareroll or an fx would have made the track sit on the mix properly now the change is noticeable.
About track selection since i got no guideline i went for different dubstep subgenres, my favourite ones are the three first tracks, the rest are quite annoying if you ask me but i always thought dubstep was that kind of tracks so i was a bit scared of losing the trail.
Mixing is decent till the noisia track i agree on this that transition is completely fucked up the fact that the track is weird doesn't help either, that last part is just a drop of different styles that look like dubstep but that aren't dubstep really, like dvt2001 skrillex and converting vegetarians, i don't feel this is necessarily out of place just a creative track to finish a strange set.
14:10 transition... well i am not sure if this is harmonic or not, that pikes sound a bit offkey if you ask me but i don't find it specially annoying, i had a problem with this style, the software i use to key my tracks didn't work with this dubstep tracks, couldn't detect the bpm/key so i made this like a real set, i played the tracks i felt best suited in the moment.
About the intro... this is the part i'm more happy with to be honest, i searched for dubstep intro mixes but couldn't find any so i found this which looks like a little intro as i've said i like this 3 first tracks i think they fit fairly well.
This is the few things i've to explain, the rest is what you see
Downloading Sandleaper's ambient mix and Lews mix gonna listen tomorrow, next week i will listen the trihop mix and the other mixes i'vent listened yet.

Here's my ambient mix. I didn't feel like doing anything too fancy this time, as I have another mix in the pipeline that's gonna take some proper chances and try something completely new. This will simply be a straight forward mix of some great summery tunes that I felt like mixing due to the utterly grey and dull weather outside.
Sand Leaper - A Slight Breeze 050211
Schizophrenia - Schizophrenia
The Irresistible Force - Lotus Position
Gel-Sol - As Far As Eye Can See
Yoshinori Sunahara - The Good Timing Of The World Of Love Song
Apiento & Co. - Under Open Skies
Aosuke - At The Shore
Wang Fan - Xuanzhuan De Tuoluonidi
Rob Theakston - I Am Waiting For You To Stop Being Mad At Me (Christopher Bissonnette Remix)
Gustavo Lamas - Embrollo
Swimmingpool - Left Version
Kayot - One Night On Cuba
Savath+Savalas - Binoculars
Frivolous - The Emoticon Don (Movimento Primo)
Doctor Rockit - Café De Flore
Doves - Firesuite

Tony I've told you what I think to it, your mix is excellent. Big faster than I thought you might go but it's pretty much spot on in every sense.
