depends on the quality of cd player and cabling i suppose, the weakest like is probabley the soundcard

analog copies are inherently inferior to digital ones. The problem is that for CD's you are doing a D/A conversion, sending the signal across a lossy transmission line and then doing a D/A conversion again. all of these will diminuish the quality.

Yeah,its like converting an already ripped mp3 into different qualities several times..its gonna sound baad.Well,maybe not that bad in computer speakers but dont try it on hi-end systems/headphones.
but u can try..and see if it works for you.

well ive got a few and i use the digital out from the player into my sound card and record a wav using some proggy like sound forge. finalyl i encode it using db poweramp with the lame codec
