The policy of green card soldiers and the armed services recruitment policy in general (montgomery GI bill) target ethnic minorities and the poorer sections of soceity. Therefore when the government makes a decision to go to war they can rest assured that it is unlikely that their children famlies, etc will be affected as the US government is dominated by the rich.......

I was considering inlisting for the green card thing. PLus the $$$ sing up bonus and live in Canada. LOL!

No they target those of us who want to become american citizens or those of us who want to make something for ourselves, attend college, and get a good job after college. I think the montgomery GI bill is a great thing. Of course it targets those of us who are less fortunate but it's end goal is to provide an opportunity for people who would otherwise not get such an opportunity. Would you advocate forced enlistment or get rid of the GI bill althogether? I don't know how it can be considered a bad thing to reward people in our society for making a sacrifice for our country.
