I will look for the statistics. And by the way, those statistics that you have come since March 22nd, IM referring to the graphic thing, if theres something else in there that you were referring to, I'd be happy to know. I know that the majority was against the war, and when Bush came on TV that one night, when he adressed the nation, I remember that the support tours him for a war, rose, but there was still a majority against it. As time went by, and getting closer to war, the Americans accepted it even more. This was all before March 22nd though..
*EDIT*
I found this on AOL, here it shows it's 50-50.
What you told us in recent polls
Results Updated 5:00 PM ET February 11, 2003
76%..... Feel the evidence against Iraq presented by Colin Powell was convincing
49%..... Rate their level of support for war on Iraq as strong*
65%..... Fear that war with Iraq would prompt terrorism
54%..... Pick the WTC design by Daniel Libeskind over the THINK plans
61%..... Would prefer a different WTC design over the two finalists
40%..... Tag Osama as a bigger threat than Saddam or Kim Jong Il*
81%..... Agree that Saddam is working with al-Qaida
69%..... Think the recent biography of Michael Jackson treated him fairly
42%..... Describe Michael Jackson as disturbing*
58%..... Say that 'Joe Millionaire' is the best reality TV show
74%..... Want Evan to choose Zora on 'Joe Millionaire'
59%..... Still pick Ryan as the man for 'The Bachelorette'
*the highest percentage in the poll |
Well this is the gallup poll results that I posted a while ago:
It would be a good article except for the fact that this guy's information is innaccurate. He should have checked the latest Gallup polls for his data:
Overall, 66% of Americans approve of Bush's decision to go to war unless Saddam Hussein leaves Iraq within 48 hours, while 30% disapprove.
By a similar margin, 68% to 28%, Americans also say that the United States has done all it can do to solve the crisis with Iraq diplomatically.
A quick reaction poll by CNN/USA Today and Gallup finds more than 2-to-1 support for that ultimatum.
One fault I find in your source is that the poll labels the support for the IRaqi war is STRONG as opposed to support in general.
