Just hire them, that's what most event organisers do.

Though I think even hiring lasers for a night is expensive (in the thousands?), which I think is why tight-arse event organisers too often leave it out of the budget.

Just buy a bunch of laser pointers, a mirrorball, a smoke machine, and blacklights. If you smoke cigarettes, you could do without the smoke machine.
