There was a discussion about this a while ago on futureproducers.com.. from hearing what people said there.. i would save the money and get a decent mixer... the behringer seems like a waste of money and looks like more show than go...

Straight from the Behinger site

I think they are referring to the effects as the 5th channel

I can only vouch for my 4 month experience on the VMX 200 but so far it has been an excellent mixer, especially for the price. The beat counters are useless but thats not what I bought the mixer for.

you never can tell until it's been tried and tested.
Although I do have some reservations about this mixer. How can it be 5 times less than a djm-600 and be anywhere as good? Sure the djm's haven't changed much price wise for a long time, but I really think that something so inexpensive will end up being all show on the cover and when you use it, it will really seem like a toy because it's much worse... However I don't know... It's too soon to tell. Knockoffs... it's up to you.

The 5th channel is the Mic channel as far as I understand it, For £200 it is worth a try at least, 90% of what I have heard about Behringer has been positive. They don't have distributors so they cut down on the cost that way and they also batch manufacture their products so that the cost is brought down.

On a related note, I was at a live set last night, and for the first time saw a Behringer mixer being used instead of anything else.

Pretty sure it was this one:

someone at least tell behringer to come up with different names... "626" there's a numark mixer with that same number... as well as "djx" etc.!! It's hilarious, they make a mixer that's a blatant rip off of another mixer, then they use the name of some other mixer or maybe even the same mixer... change it ever so slighly and voila new mixer launch. This just takes the cake, couldn't they at least put in the effort of making original names for their unoriginal products?
