Idea

When you load a song into mixmeister it calculates what it thinks is the bpm. If you change that then it will alter the song to compensate for the change. Let's say that the 2 songs that you were trying to mix were both at 138, but for some reason mixmeister calculated one of them at 139. If you manually change the one from 139 to 138 mixmeister thinks that you want to slow the track down. Therefore it will stretch the track to what it thinks it needs to be to be at 138. So basically if you know they are at the same bpm from the start, just ignore what mixmeister calculates for the bpm and just go straight into matching the beats. The numbers I used are just an example, I usually find that mixmeister will mis-calculate by a couple tenths(.1-.3), but usually not a full beat. Hope this makes some sense and will help.

Question

Ok so I think I know what your asking. Let me know if I'm way off. Example...you have 2 songs one at 140 and one at 138 and you want them to have the same bpm(138) so you can match the beats. In a perfect world mixmeister will calculate them correctly and you can manually change the 140 one to 138 and they will match. If mixmeister doesn't calculate one correct, lets say the 140 one. Maybe it calculated it at 139.7 and it did calculate the one at 138 correct. Your out of luck in this scenerio. One thing you can try is since you know mixmeister calculated the 140 one off by .3(140-139.7) is compensate for that when changing it to 138. You know that the 140 was 2 bpm faster so just subract those 2 from what mixmeister calculated and there you go. The 140 will show 137.7 and the 138 will remain 138. This should work, but might need some tweaking. Basically try it listen and keep changing the bpm .1 at a time until it sounds good. An easy way to tell if you have them at the same bpm is if the beginning and end of the 32's on both songs align perfectly. If they do they must be the same bpm, if not you can easily see which one needs to be stretched or lengenthed. Good luck
