Well I use the Main channel faders instead of the X-fader. I use the Gain (to make each tracks volume equal before starting a mix) aswell as EQ controls to smooth out my transitions. I guess I started using the Main channel faders because I used to work on Radio and you dont really use the X-fader for pop tunes, lol.

When I first started I was using the cross fader, but now I use the channel faders, I find that I have more control with them.

I wish my mixer had a mid range eq, but it only has high and low eqs. It has high mid and low kill switchs, but I have to be careful when I use them becuase they have no lights so it can be hard to tell if they are on or not.
