Honestly when I have this problem u need t see what kind of person they are. Like what I do I introduce people to the chill stuff. A lot of people like Basement Jaxx stuff and stuff like Opus III, thats what i do.

as others have mentioned just choose really well known tracks like Ligaya, 7 cities , for an angel etc.

Well, no - older people i know definately seem to like music like that. One example, was when i was listening to a mix of mine at work during my break my boss (who is like 50+) heard sonorous - protonic (ronski speed mix), and asked me what it was called as they liked it.

Other tracks to try would be Seven Cities, or ferrys remix of adagio for strings. Older people will generally liken this kind of melodic music to classical music and therefore like it.

Other people who like DJ sammy etc could be brought into liking quality trance by way of Ferry Corsten stuff - or stuff with lots of vocals in it (oceanlab etc).

Yeh - some people hear that and like it, others hear it, hate it, and think all trance is like that.

Either way, i find that nearly everyone can like at least one trance track, even if people on here wouldnt admit it they would probably like one or more rock tracks or something.
