i've made 3 discussions about depression and how i, as well as others, have dealt with it. lots of great wisdom. I took quotes from the threads and put them all together into a file. We got some great TranceAddicts here to support u

hey hun, i'm sorry you're going through this. i was slightly depressed after a lot of stuff went down last year, and the only thing that helped me out of it was seeing a counselor on a weeekly basis. she has become someone that i can tell anything to, and i know she doesn't judge me for what i say. although i am "better" now, i still see her once a week-- just because i think its healthy for everyone to have someone to talk to.

if you feel uncomfortable speaking to a stranger, try a new activity. working out always makes me feel better- it relieves a lot of stress and just overall lifts my mood from day to day. esp if you are worried about being "fat", then maybe a little exercise could help.

other things i can think of is going on a trip, taking maybe some time off from work and other stresses to clear your head, getting involved with a club or a support group, and just overall trying to gain some self esteem to help lift your spirits.

i hope that you are able to get out of this little funk...but i've been there, and obviously a lot of other people have to, so dont ever feel alone!! start recognizing all the wonderful things about yourself, which should help to make you feel better. but dont ever feel worthless! you seem like a really nice guy (from reading all your posts), so don't give up.

consider that you may have seratonin depletions (chemicals that deal with your emotions, can come from drug abuse) and may require medicine from the doc... it's normal to be sad or angry sometimes, but not all the time... or maybe you just need to talk things out... good luck man...

I don't know, but I don't think posting on the TA forum will solve it.

Hey dude, we all have beer bellys, welcome to the 21st century , everything you eat has fat in it or is that just the shit i eat, i know what u mean about being embarassed, myg/f plays with my belly and i hate it, esp in public, i like to have a massive drinkin binge at the weekend, and a nasty kebab, but i guess you can't have both, slim figure and drink and booze, the gym can be hard esp if you work 9-5 all week. I dont even live near a beach so i guess your lucky, you get to see loadsa fine ass and i dont. I live near scallys and mitters , ppl who say shit like ' giv us a fag or ill cut ya up ' serious pal, the weather in the uk is always raining , i aint no shrink but i recommend that you just get stuck in with the girlies, girls like lads with bellys, coz it makes them feel good, imagine you having a slimmer belly that your g/f , she would be so paranoid. could be worse you could be obesse and smell of cheese. :P

gl anyways.

I was in depression for the first 3 months of this year after I found out some stuff about my relationship with my long time partner. Its the most horrible feeling that I ever experienced. I went to see a shrink for 3 sessions and decided to change my life in every way possible. the depression helped me loose 40 lbs and now that I look different I started to work out 5 days a week. I usually get between 3 to 5 comments a day from people who knew me before that I look great. It helps so much that it makes me happy.
focus on things that make you happy and you will be fine. even though Im still with her, I cant control how she feels about me so I stopped making myself crazy about what our future will be.
I listen to trance and work out, eat healthy, be more friendly to people (specially hot girls), and things will work out.

good luck to you!!!
you can do it!!
