Company sponsorship used to be more effective in the past, but with all the green card passage issues such commodities as being company sponsored don't help lots, actually companies now have the tendency of denying work or an offer for a position if the person in question does not already have the legal right of remaining in the country ( visa's and such must be cleared first in their eyes )
Because of repeated abuse with the previous regulations concerning entrance in the country and permanent residency through mariage with a local, they have tightened a key requirement : knowing the person, physically, for a two and a half year period before you are legally allowed to get married in the usa.
