Good point.
If you live in Canada and elect to buy a toyota truck instead of a Chevy in some kind of vain attempt to "boycott" American goods, you are buying a truck with a large percentage of Amercian made parts and assembly.
They are going to build a Toyota plant 40 or 50 miles south of me in the next few years, and they already have many around the country (not to mention the other Japanese automakers.
I agree OCCrider, if John boycotted records that would hurt his local vinyl shop much more than the oil companies that supplied the oil to create the plastic to press the records.
The boycott of bus usage by African Americans in the civil rights era was successful because it was a localized boycott. That and the fact that a large percentage of the bus companies' riders were AFrican-American.
