Haha I know I was being cryptic ... but what I was getting at was that only in california is somebody going to add mods to a beamer, and only in california is somebody under the age of 25 going to own a $40,000 car. (my apologies if you actually paid for it out of your own pocket)

Yep the money came from my own pocket. The mother has never handed me anything, and I am so glad that she didn't. If you work hard, you reap the rewards, hehe. This car is so much fun, and thank you everyone for the compliments! Is there any other BMW owners on this board? Or any other car enthusiasts for that matter?

i am sure that M3 wasn't 40K anymore when he bought it. I like it, but not the wing, nor the rims.. and you need to take off the hood.. that RED ENGINE just demands to be seen!

Ohhhhhh, i thought i was gonna see an E46!
I would hardly call getting some rims a major modification either as the stock rims on e30 M3's were hardly suitable for what it was designed for. And speaking about letting the engine be seen, has anyone seen the pi of the Hamann V8 M3 with lifter doors? It has a massive opening in the bonnet to show off the M engine
when i read the title here, i thot it was gonna be another rich kid showing off daddys 2003 m3...i was pleasantly surprised. esp since thats the real deal and not the original weaker US m3...i could complain about the wheels, but thats redic considering i dont have one|

Yea that's what I was expecting too ... another daddy's rich boy hehe. Nice car, specially since you paid for it yourself ... although the spoiler and the wheels seem distinctly californian.

It's funny you guys say that the spoiler is a california thing since it is a factory part that came stock on the cars imported from Germany. Come on guys, you know better than that
