Shalom, shalom
I'll write this down in English, I dont think there'll be a problem in understanding me and me writing hebrew with english fonts will just turn out to be a mess.
I must say that I haven't gotten Converting Vegetarians yet but from what I've heared (tracks I "got to hear and other fans' opinions) it cannot be compared to the previous releases. I must give Infected props for their courage though: they always experiment and try new things, most time it works, sometimes it doesnt, but thats totally normal!
Ill start by saying that Classical Mushroom is my favourite album. It was the first Infected album I bought and it changed the way I listened to music. It is a masterpiece from start to finish, a unique achievement in the history of electronic music. Back then ( 3 to 4 years ago) I listened to a bit of cheese trance like Alice Deejay, as well as to Nzihonot trance . Some1 I met on Mirc recommended downloading Infected Mushroom trax, which I found totally weird and sick at the beginning. However, when I was in Israel on vacation 2 months later I saw "Classical Mushroom" standing in front of me and I just picked it up. I was instantly blown away. I experienced every listen as a beautiful journey and it was the first times I paid attention to a track's structure, to its nature, its elements and how they come together in harmony. The way classical instruments flowed into snythie-sounds, supported by kicks that fucked up your mind...it was unbelievable to hear. Never have I listened to something that complex and intelligent. Btw. FLOTSER: I totally agree with you about Nothing Comes Easy: You surely talk about the melody around minute 4:00, too bad its doesnt last long enuff Anyway...from there began my Psy-trance addiction which indeed lasted for 1.5 years (of course nothing compared to infected). After that time I got enuff of goa and ended up on this site + seeing paul van dyk and hearing tiesto sets converted me to an uplifting addict. Okay, I'm getting carried away now
AnywayZ! I then bought The Gathering. It sounds more primitive but is also much more dancable and just..FUN. Nothing deep and too intelligent, just crazy, wild interesting stormers. And nothing, NOTHING will ever top the build up in "The Gathering" (the track). Simplay mindblowing. Also love the evil last track.
Then there's BP Empire. At first I was disappointed, but as others said, ot totally grows on you. It's so atmospheric and interesting, tracks like Funchameleon and the beautiful Dancing with Kadafi tell you complete stories. The production is more professional and "mature" but I miss some of the creativity that was to be heared on Classical. But still a top, top, top album. If Classical is 9.9/10 then B.P. Empire is 9/10.
However, I havent liked the stuff they released in the last 1, 2 years (like electro panic etc.) thus I listened to them less and less And I dont really feel like I'll ever buy Converting Vegetarians..
