you should take your highway test asap. The moment you do is the moment your insurance starts to reduce. Even though it may not be a lot if your under 25 but every dollar counts to me cause i'm a ghetto cheap ass mother fudger. Oh and how long was the wait in order to get an appointment for test date?

Thumbs up just another tip

Listen, if u screw something up and u know u did it wrong, say " I shouldn't have done that/ I should have done that...." they will recognize it and at least they know that you knew ....know what I mean?

Be really obvious, and drive with confidence!!! Drive like no one is watching! GOOD LUCK! I just did mine 1 week ago and I passed!

Mine is on Monday, don't even know where
I'm not really nervous cause I have tons of other things on my mind, besides I'm a good driver, so if I fail it's because the examiner is an @$$.. I don't really care, I don't even have a car

good luck anyways!

This is actually really true .. you'll come across as a good driver if you are able to admit (and find) some mistakes you made .. I did it on my G1 exit test after a really crappy parallel parking demo and I still passed (also on the first try) and your G2 exit test should be easier because you shouldn't be as nervous as you were for your G1 exit test -- you're used to the pressure

that G test is eaaasy shit. if u got a g2 and drive often u got no worries. just drive carefully, shoulder checks..u know the deal.

speed up to 80-100 before u enter the lane into the hiway...

and most importantly.. STAY CALM!!

i failed my g2 the first time casue i was so nervous, but aced the g test cause i stayed cool.

One of the big things that I got nailed on was not scanning intersections while driving through them (even though I had a green light) Be obvious with your scans so the evaluator can see that you are in fact looking left, straight and right while approaching an intersection. Also be obvious with you mirror and blind spots checks. Say it out loud if you have to so they know that you are looking, Just say "checking my blindspot" etc. Good skill to all of those who have tests coming up soon. You'll do fine

I'll second that one. You have to be really deliberate when you do any looking around, to make sure they notice.

I'd also recommend against driving standard on the test. Apparently it's against the law to have only 1 hand on the wheel while driving through an intersection, which means you have to drive in 1st gear until you are totally done any turning!

Question

Hello, I was just wondering in anybody's opinion which G exit exam test is harder. Taking it at the Victoria Park center, or Morningside center. I thought VP would be harder since you have to go on busy DVP..

You really can't predict how hard it will be. I took it twice at VP (failed the first), and the highway portion was totally different. The first time there was little traffic, so I went north on the DVP, east on 401, and got off at Victoria Park. The second time I went south on the DVP to Wynford (1 stop), and then got back on the highway north to Lawrence.

The second time was much easier even though traffic was heavier.I didn't have to worry about speeding, and merging into traffic is actually easier at 20km/h than at 80km/h.
