Buying the dvd this weekend.

I think it was a strong movie, not as good as Mononoke, but still a fun watch...definitely yards beyond any of the Disney crap that pollutes most theatres...

Was lucky enough to catch both of those films in theatrical runs incidentally, and the animation is even more breathtaking in the large format...

The story was great- rivals the original Alice in Wonderland. All the different creatures were fantastic. Definitely worth watching!

spirited away = good. reminds me of neverending story, but better. no-face was the best character i think.

btw for anyone who likes anime, i recently built an anime recommendation database tool for the site i made for the hub i download anime in... its fairly new so there arent a huge amount of votes, but if you are interested, let me know and ill give you the info/link.

(so basically, youd go pick "spirited away" from the list, for example, and youd see a list of the top 5 series people think you would like, if you like that. etc)

I bought the DVD because I wasn't able to rent in my local video store - they only have one copy & it's always out . To tell you the truth , I expected a little more from the story line , the animations are amazing thou . So my final score for this feature is : 8/10 .

wasnt too into it as you can see. seems like miyazaki was high or something when he made this...
