99 was easily the best year in trance...it was a year of amazing tunes, breakthrough performances for djs and when the music was all that mattered

2003 is terrible imo...i just dont like the way it's heading

ive got my CDS all logged in an excel file. i always forget whay i have mix wise, so it was the ideal thing to do! started doing it when i had 100 cds, everytime i get a new track i add it now ive got 1600 cd singles / maxis / albums, and can easily check what ive got.

I also know where any disc is as ive sorted them (physically moving) by label. ill have to upload a photo sometime

Like DJ Irish said, 1993 was a great year for trance in the Underground terms, but 1999 was easily, for me, the year of trance.. even though 1998 was probably the year in which trance started to heat up its engines, 1999 was the year in which it was going in full throtle.. it was the year of incredible remixes, awesome Album releases, The Best CD Compilations ever made, the brake through of countless DJ's who now enjoy their success from that year, and just top notch quality releases, and the introduction of a new dance type of music, yet addictive to the masses around the world, making the Loveparade that year with the largest amoung of people ever, and the start of an era of festivals, the recognition of the best clubs playing this music ( Gatecrasher, Cream etc etc ) and so so so on.. it was a BREAKTHROUGH year, thats why 1999 is the year of trance, the year that it broke all barriers, besides saturating for the first time, Ibiza with all night trancers.

99 used to be the year of trance but when you look back on it, the tracks were formulaic and lacked any a serious amount of production skills wot so ever. imo trance gets better every year
